Matt Powell

A connoisseur of all kinds of classic American roots music: country, jazz, blues, R&B and early rock n roll- Matt will be playing mostly old-school country peppered with some classic soul and blues. His set list is a good variety of thoughtful covers featuring well-known classics and lesser-known gems. He is known for his passionate delivery and skilled guitar playing.

Born and raised in Southern California, Matt got his country music schooling growing up from his Grandpa (who was from Gassville) and from his years in Nashville working at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop. His family came to Baxter County in the 1860s, but he has personally lived in Mountain Home for over a year now, drawn here to be around nature, good people and family roots.
