Raised in Parachute, Colorado, Jay grew up surrounded by the sounds of classic country legends like George Strait, Garth Brooks, and Alan Jackson. Inspired by his father—a former classic rock musician who once opened for Rod Stewart—he picked up the guitar at age 12 and began developing a passion for performing. Over the years, that passion evolved through influences from Texas and Red Dirt Country, helping shape the heartfelt style he brings to the stage today.

After serving as a Navy Seabee and deploying to Afghanistan in 2020, Jay turned back to music during a difficult season of life, finding comfort, healing, and purpose through songwriting and performance.
