About the event
The Matt Powell Experience delivers great songs and rootsy grooves with a sound that’s loose yet precise, structured but full of fire. Formed in 2025, the band blends blues, folk, and Americana into high-energy original music that’s both gritty and beautiful.
Frontman Matt Powell (Berklee-trained, with roots in Nashville and LA) leads with rhythmic, tasteful guitar and thoughtful songwriting, backed by Jenny Woodruff’s instinctive, genre-spanning drums, Daddy Rabbit’s explosive harmonica, and Cody Gilbert’s warm, grounding bass.
Together, they create a truly unique Experience—soulful American music played with heart, grit, and a fire in the belly.
